Integration

Most of the contemporary projects on existing heritage want to create a strong and evident contrast between the austere building and the new expansion.

New materials and geometry create a dynamic dialogue with the existing and the new, showing clearly which role they play.

In some cases, they can be complementary objects, where the new complete the interrupted existing construction.

In other cases, the intent is to create a strong contrast between the past and the future, with no apparent integration.
